In Australia, the TarraWarra Museum of Art in Healesville has tapped Sydney-based curator Mikala Tai to helm the 10th TarraWarra Biennial. Tai will draw on her long-term engagement with Australian and Asian contemporary art to anchor the exhibition in a transnational framework.

The Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts has appointed Beijing-based curators Liu Ding and Carol Yinghua Lu to lead the 2027 Istanbul Biennial. Their curatorial proposal addresses political instability and algorithmic culture through art’s capacity to restore agency and critical attention.
