Seoul-based installation artist Choi Goen was named as the winner of the 2024 Frieze Seoul Artist Award, which grants an emerging or midcareer artist the opportunity to realize and present a new body of work at the art fair in September.

As for Frieze London, the London-based Malaysian Chinese artist and filmmaker Lawrence Lek was the recipient of its sixth Artist Award. His commission will debut on October 9.
