Picture Roundup: Paris Photo 2013

Even the cold and rainy weather could not stop the image-hungry public from attending the opening of the 17th edition of Paris Photo. With snake-like queues running around the entrance to the historic Grand Palais, where the fair was being hosted, it was clear that photographie c’est bon.

While there was the usual turnout from European galleries—hailing mainly from London, New York and Paris—Asian galleries and works by Asian photographers were notably absent from the fair. A few Japanese galleries set up shop, but these catered mostly to Japanese collectors and Nipponophiles.
