ART OnO 2024, taking place at SETEC in Seoul, South Korea from April 19 to April 21, is a new art fair showcasing artworks presented by 40 galleries from over 15 countries. Alongside galleries from South Korea, participants from the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, and France will represent a significant international presence together with the local art presentation.

The main programs of ART OnO encompass Talks and Discussions, VIP Programs, and Special Exhibitions

Talks and Discussions

During the fair, a range of public engagement programs are available, including talks and lectures by art professionals and a wide range of experts from various cultural fields. These discussions feature contributions from artists, film directors, architects, journalists, and more, offering insights into the international art world.

VIP Programs

ART OnO offers diverse programs for VIP guests, such as private events at museums, artists’ studio visits, and private collection viewings, fostering networking opportunities for galleries, institutions, artists, and collectors that are not otherwise accessible to the public.

Special Exhibition

A curated special exhibition distinguishes ART OnO from other art fairs. Overseen by Director Ahn Mihee, a prominent figure from Gwangju Biennale Pavilion Director and the former Director of Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art, this exclusive collaboration showcases media & sound artists from around the world. Featuring media and sound installations throughout the venue, this special exhibition promises to captivate attendees with its unique offerings, filling a niche not typically seen at booths. A well-curated exhibition will be presented to the audience with mediums that are usually unseen from art fairs.

Concept
ART OnO seeks to examine the art market by embracing an increasingly international and contemporary outlook with galleries and artists that strikes a balanced representation. The fair introduces a selection of emerging and established galleries worldwide and provides opportunities for artists to expose their works to global audiences. ART OnO leverages the power of art to inspire and drive meaningful action toward artists, galleries, institutions, and collectors.

Focus
Emerging as a significant ancillary channel—ART OnO presents a cross-section of art from artists and galleries of different career stages. The fair genuinely embraces a diversity of quality works, artists, and galleries.

ART OnO will be designed to showcase some of their most exciting works of art under the banner of “Young, Fresh but Classy Vibe,” and the fair highlights the diverse programs customized for collectors of different experiences. Moreover, the fair operates a collectors’ community throughout the year to discover talented artists and new galleries and provide opportunities to network with people at events, talks, and exhibitions. Rather than being market-oriented, ART OnO aims to balance profit and nonprofit through the ART OnO platform, building up the community to grow internationally in Asia.

Another factor that ART OnO highlights is bringing together large and small galleries in one setting to foster positive mutual relationships. ART OnO serves as more than just a typical art fair; it stands as a pivotal platform where galleries, institutions, artists, and collectors converge to foster connections and engagement.

ART OnO 2024 will feature 40 carefully selected participants, including renowned galleries such as Esther Schipper, Mariane Ibrahim, Chantal Crousel, Gallery Baton, ThisWeekendRoom, Gallery 2, and Duarte Sequeira, as well as first-time participating galleries such as Nicolas Krupp, Gathering, cadet capela, Hayashi, and Villazan. The fair provides a platform for all artists, conciliating artistic merit and popular appeal.

Along with the fair, ART OnO offers tailored artistic excursions in Seoul, including visits to local galleries, museums, artist studios, private collections, and various K-culture experiences. Additionally, Seoul-based art institutions and private collections will open their doors within the framework of exclusive private tours and events.
